OPTIMUM NUTRITION 100% WHEY GOLD STANDARD 5lb
Optimum Gold Standard Whey is generally regarded as the world's best selling and highest quality whey protein blend. The top quality proteins far outperform similar UK brands and this US heavyweight is generally regarded as better tasting and mixing too. Unfortunately this quality does come at a price and you won't find many genuine deals on Optimum Whey given it's 'top-of-the-range' status. We generally have some of the best tub deals on this product that you'll find in the UK, but if you're prepared to spend a little extra, you'll find Optimum Whey delivers.
Whey Protein Isolates are 90% pure protein by weight. They are the purest and most expensive form of whey protein that exists. That’s why they are the first ingredients you read on the 100% Whey Gold Standard label. By using Whey Protein Isolates as our primary protein source, we’re able to pack 24 grams of the purest, muscle-building protein per serving, with a lot less of the fat, cholesterol, lactose, and other stuff that you can do without. There’s no question this is the standard by which other whey proteins are measured.

Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard (2.26kgs) QuestionFrom tammy Hi Is this protein ok for women? I am not a bodybuilder. I am training hard with weights to get a toned and lean body. i also do alot of HIIT training as well. I usually use maximuscle promax protein which i drink after every workout. But i am now looking to consume protein during the day as well as i feel i am not getting enough protein and loosing weight. Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard (2.26kgs) Answer Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard (2.26kgs) - Hi Tammy, thanks for your question. Protein intake is essential for both men and women and especially those looking to lose bodyfat, improve muscle tone and strength and performing a lot of sport or exercise. Protein is not strictly for bodybuilders. Any woman who is training for lean, toned form will need a higher protein intake than someone who doesn't train. protein repairs muscle, improves lean tone and is harder for the body to convert into bodyfat stores. You should generally be consuming 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight each day. This can come from whole food sources such as meat, fish, poultry, eggs, milk, beans and pulses and then additional supplements such as whey protein shakes. You can use a shake inbetween a normal meal as a protein snack, or alongside a normal meal if it doesn't contain a lot of protein itself. For best results, I'd recommend aiming for 5-6 meals a day with two to three protein shakes coming from this, and 2-3 normal whole food meals with a mixture of protein, carb sources - primarily fruit and veg. This will support a healthy metabolism and help you lose fat rather than healthy tissue. This has always been my favourite whey product. I've used Reflex, PhD, Maximuscle and none seem to hold up to the quality and taste of the Gold
Standard! Guess that's why it's called Gold Standard! Never had a bad flavour either, though cookies or choc-mint are the best.
