OPTIMUM NUTRITION 100% WHEY GOLD STANDARD - Hi Conor, thanks for your question. Proteins come in a wide variety of types - and different release times. For a straight forward whey product you want to find a product with the highest level of Whey Isolates. The 100% Whey Gold is probably the highest content of Whey isolate to concentrates ratio and has an amount of hydro-whey peptides and other additions. The PhD Pharma Whey is very close in quality, but is a slightly higher ratio of concentrates to isolates, so not quite as expensive a form as the 100% Whey Gold. If you want the best all out whey, this is probably it. Most other expensive protein shakes will be blends which are a bit more specialised.
